...when you have yet to actually win a game decided by under five points, you just kind of sit back and think, "How are we going to end up losing this?" And when the other team is just making 3-pointer after 3-pointer, you start to think, "THAT's how." But it didn't happen. Strong interior defense, phenomenal free throw shooting in the last minute, bad free throw shooting by the other team (who's actually supposed to be good at free throw shooting), and physical play that was more or less being allowed by the refs...and we are no longer winless in tight games! Better yet, we moved into a tie for 5th in the conference and hold the tie-breakers over Tech and OU (and OSU, for that matter, in case we end up tied with them). You do have to expect another step backwards at some point (and a road trip to Lincoln seems like a prime candidate), but so far Mizzou has hit another gear down the stretch. And MAN has Keon Lawrence started to become what everybody hoped he'd become. That turnaround with 45 seconds left was sick.
