An honest mistake, I'm sure

In a press release introducing Frank Martin as Michael Beasley's top assistant, the Kansas State athletic department notes that

Martin returned to Miami Senior High School as head varsity coach in
1995. During his three-year stint with the Stingarees, he posted a stellar
102-10 (.911) overall record and captured three consecutive Florida 6A State
Championships (1996, 1997, 1998). Martin’s last two squads compiled
impressive 36-1 records.

This must be a typographical error, as Martin's 1998 team was stripped of its state title and forced to forfeit all of its games, making his official record in his final season
0-37. Surely, no institution of higher education would enable or cover for unethical conduct by simply pretending it never happened. Would it?
