- Thomas Gardner keeps getting beter and better in the Chicago Bulls' summer league. He found his 3-point stroke last week, going 5-for-11 from beyond the arc last Thursday on the way to 25 points against Seattle in the Rocky Mountain Revue. He's now averaging 17.6 PPG in the Revue.

- Congrats to Drew Temple for becoming Mizzou's latest football commitment, #10 on the year. If Andrew Jones has anything to say about it, somebody like Raytown's Aldon Smith could be #11...
- Meanwhile, the Trib's Dave Matter tells Mizzou fans to breathe a bit...history actually favors the preseason North favorite. He also discusses the media's All-Big XII team. I still say Bo Ruud is horrendously overrated. But at least they didn't put Martellus Bennett on the first team.
- Amid all the other scandals infecting sports this summer, Bill Simmons suggests that the NBA Officiating Scandal could be the most damaging...next to Chris Benoit, anyway.
